The shortlist for the 11 main categories (see below) has been announced.
The shortlist for the Game of the North and Innovation awards will be announced towards the end of April 2008.
Big Chip 10 includes 11 main categories, 2 special categories and 8 special awards
These awards are for work mostly carried out in the North West, Including Best E-Business Project, Best Use of Design, and many more - see below for a list. Entrants for any of these awards can win three other awards - Best from their sub-region, Best New Media Agency Award, and the prestigious Grand Prix.
For the best stand-alone game. This new category is open to entries from across the North of England - where all the best games work is done.
This prestigious new award, created to celebrate 10 years of Big Chip and 60 years since the invention of the stored programme computer in Manchester, will be given to the best digital innovation of the last year. The award is open to nominations and entries from anywhere in the world. Judged by a special guest judging panel including Saul Klein.
