Hugely successful 2007 awards - the best yet 

25 awards and 2 commendations for the best digital work in the North West were given at the ceremony on 24 May 2007 in Manchester's New Century Hall.

The evening - a complete sell out - was hosted as in previous years by Anthony Wilson  with entertainment from celebrated DJ Graeme Park.

Sadly Anthony Wilson - "Mr Manchester" - died in August 2007. He was a strong supporter of the digital industries and will be much missed from future Big Chips.

 

Second Life, World First

In a world first, the ceremony was broadcast live in Second Life, launching a new area in called Manchester UK – where some of the city’s best-known landmarks have been recreated.

Manchester UK is the product of a joint venture between Manchester new media firm Clicks and Links, the Urbis Centre (recreated in Second Life) with the support of MDDA representing the City Council.
