
The 2009 Big Chip awards had a fresh new look. After 5 great (and comfortable) years in New Century Hall, the awards moved back to the Palace Hotel - where they started in back in 1997.
Some 460 guests enjoyed what most described as the best awards ever.
#BigChip11 tweets all agreed that comedian and actor Bill Bailey did a great set at theBig Chip awards, rounding off a fantastic evening. Over £1,200 was collected for Bill's favoured charity The Sumatran Orangutan Society.

Liverpool Victory
For the first time the coveted Grand Prix award was won by a technology entry - and by a company from Liverpool. New Concept Gaming grabbed 3 awards altogether including the Big Chip International Award for Innovation for their Wii Jog.
After a great meal guests were entertained with a short set from comedian Bill Bailey, in aid of the Sumatran Orang-utang Society. Then the party carried on until the last people left at 4am.
